Lucas is a Colombian community organizer, visual storyteller, and filmmaker with experience in youth, tenant, and immigrant rights organizing.  After working towards building community defense efforts in the face of ICE enforcement activities in Oakland, Lucas has shifted towards storytelling as his role in social movement work.

Formerly contributing to prison abolitionist projects and spaces, Lucas is eager to build and learn from PODER’s Environmental Justice leadership. Lucas works to bring robust visual storytelling and multimedia strategies at PODER.
