After 4 years of door knocking, focus groups, interviews, skill shares, clean ups and community events, PODER’s Urban Campesin@s are excited to share the Community Farm design that we’ve created in partnership with the SFPUC and the Office of Supervisor John Avalos, reflecting all we have learned from our beautiful Excelsior Neighborhood.
Join us on Wed. June 8th for an open house between 5-7:30pm as we share our community inspired farm design, that includes community open space, garden beds, herb spirals, education space, art and much more!!! We will meet at the Crocker Clubhouse on Moscow and Italy St.
*SFPUC (San Francisco Public Utilities Commission) will share their programs creating opportunities for partnerships with communities to support Environmental Justice.
*PODER’s Urban Campesin@s will share the community engagement and leadership process, and the farm design recommendations created.
*We will present the farm design created in community partnership. The design team will be present to answer questions.
*We’ll have the opportunity to prepare food and make smoothies together using fruits and vegetables we plan to grow at our farm.
